Myeongdong Kyoja

명동교자 본점

The kalguksu Seoul has queued for since 1966.

  • Solo-friendly
  • Walk-in only
  • Myeongdong Station (Line 4)

Why we picked it

One bowl, done perfectly: silky knife-cut noodles in a rich chicken broth topped with minced pork and tiny dumplings. Fast turnover, so even a long queue moves in minutes.

Our recommended order

The garlic-heavy kimchi is the point: eat it with every bite. Ask for a noodle refill ("sari") before you finish the broth.
